What are your Payment options?

Payment Methods 

In collaboration with Stripe, we currently accept all major debit & credit cards:

We currently do not offer cash on delivery (COD).

In order to dispatch your order, we will have to ensure that the payment has been completed successfully.


All products offered on & orders placed on Athenian Street Stories are in euros €. 

Payment failed

There could be a number of reasons why your payment is not going through. We suggest that you try the following (in order to complete your payment and order):

  • Make sure you have entered all the digits of the card as well as the security code from the back correctly
  • Try another card. It may be that your card issuer has declined your payment – as they do not give us a reason for this, we would recommend you check with the card provider or contact your bank.

Payment Verification

All orders placed on Athenian Street Stories must go through our secure payment verification process. This entails our requesting further information to ensure that you are indeed the cardholder and are therefore authorised to make the payment. In cases where we deem there to be a potential issue with the payment, we may cancel the order at any time prior to dispatch.

What are your Shipping & Delivery Options?

We currently ship to 43 countries and our Delivery Method depends on your destination:


FREE Express Domestic Shipping – 1 to 3 business days by ELTA Courier (Porta Porta) 

International orders are delivered by DHL Economy (Standard Shipping) & DHL Express (Express Shipping), specifically:

 European Union

Standard Shipping – 4 to 7 business days (except Malta & Cyprus)

Express Shipping – 2 days

Non European Union

Iceland, Monaco, Norway, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Vaticano

Standard Shipping – 4 to 7 business days (except Iceland)

Express Shipping – 2 days

Rest of the World

United States of America, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Mexico, United Arab Emirates

Express Shipping – 3 business days

Shipping days are from Monday till Friday.

Please keep in mind we are doing our best to meet the estimated delivery times, but we cannot guarantee them.
Also, Athenian Street Stories is not responsible for any delay caused by customs and delivery times may vary only if the shipping address is characterised as a remote area by the delivery company.

Tracking Number

Every order is accompanied by a tracking number, sent to you after your order has been dispatched, in order to trace your parcel’s path.

Calculating Costs

Shipping costs are calculated automatically at the checkout page when both destination and delivery service are selected. 

Processing Time

The time we need to prepare an order for dispatch is 1 business day. Pre-orders are dispatched by us in 1 business day after we receive it from the artists (max 10 business days).

  • Fill out your mobile number
  • In the order’s comments, write any additional information that may be useful for shipping 
  • You could also receive your order at your company’s place! On this occasion, we will also need the company’s name.

Do you accept Returns & Exchanges?

We hope that you will love your order or gift but we understand that sometimes you might have wished for something different. 

So, we gladly accept returns or exchanges for the majority of our products, if it’s dispatched by you within 14 days of the delivery date and have contacted us before sending the parcel. 

  • Products that are returned to us must be in their original state and packaging, containing the invoice.
  • Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. 
  • If the item it’s not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. 


The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Items on sale

After returning your order or a part of it, you could choose between:

  • Refund: Completed by us within 7 days of receiving the parcel. The money will be refunded on the card or account you previously chose to pay. The amount that is returned is the total of the product’s value – not the shipping costs for international orders. 
  • Exchange: You will place a new order of the same or bigger value, with a coupon made by us with the same value as the returned product(s). If the new order has a greater value than the previous one, the customer is responsible to cover the difference.

For products – not received by the customer and returned to us – Athenian Street Stories returns only the value of the products, not the shipping costs.

What about the customs or import charges? 

Every order placed within the European Union is not subject to customs and import charges. 

Orders placed outside the European Union mainland may be subject to custom or import charges that are not calculated in the final price at the checkout page and the customer is responsib;e for them.

What about Packaging & Gift Wrapping? 

Due to the fragility of our products, every order is packaged with real care in order to ensure that your parcel will arrive as safely as possible from our end without any damage.
We use paper boxes and bubble wrap in addition to other materials to ensure that. 

Also, some of our products include a sturdy paper reusable box.

Gift wrapping is available at no additional cost on request for all of our products!
Also, we include any message you would want, written in one of our exclusive postcards for free and/or on the product if it’s eligible for personalisation.

What if the item I want is out of stock?

It is true sometimes products may be sold out, even though we try to plan for the right quantities but at the same time we collaborate with small productions and try to build a sustainable shop, so low stocks! 

But don’t get disappointed! 

You can pre-order any piece you like in any quantity you wish and it will be dispatched from us in 10 business days at most.

Additionally, we usually restock most of our sold-out items quite quickly too. Just keep an eye on our website and Instagram account or send us a message of the item you have missed. 

Part of my order is missing, faulty or incorrect, what should I do?

Firstly, we are really sorry about this! We try to prepare every order with real care and attention in order for you to receive what you expected & more.

as soon as possible to resolve the issue.

Do you offer Personalized products? 

At Athenian Street Stories, we believe each gift should be memorable, so a lot of our products have the opportunity to be personalized with your message (ex. a small wish, a date or a name), hand written by us just for you or the receiver of your gift. We write your request indelibly on a blank side of the chosen product.
Please read the description of the product to learn if it’s eligible for personalization & don’t forget to send us your special message, after completing the order, in order fulfil your request. 

Keep in mind that personalized products cannot be returned or exchanged. 

What if I can’t give the present myself? 

Did you find the perfect gift for the occasion but cannot give it yourself in time?
Don’t worry we will ship it straight to them without any additional cost! Of course, we will treat it like a gift and include any message you would want, whilst we will send you the invoice.

How do I change the shipping address? 

If you wrote the wrong shipping address, don’t worry! Contact us immediately, before your order has been dispatched (1 business day), through our contact us page or at in order to change the address. Learn more at Terms & Conditions. 

How do I Cancel or Change my order? 

If you changed your mind about your order and you wish to cancel or change a part of it, contact us immediately, before your order has been dispatched (1 business day), through our contact us page or at in order to proceed with your request.

How do I care for the Athenian Street Stories’ products? 

We know you want to enjoy your products for a long time, so we have gathered a list of Care Instructions to ensure that.


Art Objects
In order to protect them, clean them with a dry cloth or a damp cloth with water and optionally a mild soap.
Do not use hard chemicals / cleaners like bleach that may damage the materials & colors.


To ensure the longevity of your cups preferably hand wash them. Also, they are safe for the dishwasher but it may deteriorate the colours over time.
Do not put them in the microwave oven & do not use hard chemicals / cleaners like bleach that may damage the materials & colors.


Prints, Postcards & Bookmarks
Stay clear of water or any other substance that may damage the paper. They are not laminated but printed on thick and lightly textured paper.


Tote Bags
They are made from 100% cotton and printed in Greece.
To ensure the colours and the print stay vibrant, hand wash our tote bags with a mild soap. Also, they are safe for the washing machine but it may deteriorate the colours over time.
Iron them inside out only.
Do not use really hot water, bleach or other chemicals that may damage the bag.


Why does my piece look slightly different from the pictures?


You don’t have to worry if the product you received is slightly different from the one in the photo. Firstly, you may find small differences in size, shape and color between the items and their photos, but this is the beauty and uniqueness of the handmade pottery. Secondly, between different devices and monitors the colors may look different due to technical reasons.


Where are your products made? 


Every collection & product in our e-shop is handmade from Greek artists in small productions. Our goal is to promote small Greek businesses that are up-and-coming or have lasted through the time from generation to generation.
